Sportsbet Appoints Michael Foster as New Chief Information Officer

Sportsbet, the Australia-focused betting platform owned by Flutter Entertainment, has announced the appointment of Michael Foster as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Extensive Experience in Technology Leadership

Michael Foster’s tenure at Sportsbet has seen him excel in various roles, including General Manager of Enterprise Technology and General Manager for Customer Experience Delivery. His roles there included Group Manager for IT Operations and IT Manager for Sensis Classifieds online systems. Foster also brings experience from his time at Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting.

Foster’s Vision and Enthusiasm

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Foster took to LinkedIn to share his thoughts: “Sportsbet is an incredible organization to be a part of. The last seven years have been incredibly rewarding, both personally and professionally. To now have the opportunity to lead our technology capability is honestly a dream come true.”

He added, “Our technology team has a fantastic track record of combining tech innovation with customer needs, creating incredible products and experiences. I look forward with energy and excitement to supporting and helping the team continue to achieve these outcomes and strive to even further heights.”

Sportsbet welcomed Foster’s appointment with a positive statement: “Michael is no stranger to our business, having been with us since 2016 in a number of senior technology leadership roles. With over 20 years in technology roles across several industries, Michael brings extensive technical leadership experience to the CIO role. We’re excited to welcome him to our leadership team.”
