Tipico Teams Up with German Football Association as Official Partner of DFB Pokal

The German Football Association (DFB) has kicked off a winning partnership with sports betting giant Tipico. In a groundbreaking deal, Tipico has been named the official partner of the DFB Pokal (German Cup) for both men and women until June 30, 2026.

A Landmark Deal for German Football

Under the terms of this exciting collaboration, Tipico will enjoy prime advertising opportunities, showcasing its logo during thrilling DFB Pokal matches across various platforms, including digital channels and stadium advertising boards. Dr. Holger Blask, Chairman of the Management Board of DFB GmbH and Co. KG, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We welcome Tipico as a new partner for the DFB Cup competitions for women and men.”

Kajetan Strini-Brown, Director of Marketing Acquisition at Tipico, emphasized the brand’s commitment to responsible gaming while celebrating the synergy between Tipico and the DFB. “With the DFB on our side, we are now playing in the same team as co-partner of the DFB Pokal,” said Strini-Brown, highlighting the shared passion for providing customers with an exhilarating and secure sports betting experience.

Tipico’s Global Presence

Tipico, headquartered in Malta, boasts a global presence as a leading provider of casino games and sports betting. The company holds gaming licenses from reputable authorities such as the Malta Gaming Authority and has obtained a coveted German sports betting concession from the Darmstadt Regional Council.

The DFB has strategic relationships outside of the sports betting industry; new alliances and renewals have raised the organization’s reputation. Notably, until July 31, 2028, Volkswagen has committed to supporting the German national teams as a premium partner and sponsor of their training kits. Meanwhile, Klarna has joined the team as the men’s national team of Germany’s official partner.

Strengthening Audience Engagement

The DFB signed a major deal with IMG Arena in 2022, allowing the company’s network of sportsbook operators to distribute DFB Pokal material. This proactive step aims to strengthen the competition’s standing as a pillar of German football by expanding its audience and level of participation.
