XLMedia appoints Kevin Duffey as its North America President

Kevin Duffey will join the company’s executive team as of February 1, 2023. According to the appointment, Duffey will be responsible for executing XLMedia’s long-term growth and revenue strategy over the long term.

Experience

The new CEO of XLMedia has experience in entrepreneurship and business, including in the sports industry.

Duffey said: – I am delighted to join the executive team and continue to work with highly talented people in North America and beyond. On behalf of the company, I would like to thank Ken [Dorward] for his valuable contribution to the establishment and operation of the business in North America. I wish him further success.

Saturday Football Inc

Before signing the contract with XLMedia Duffey founded Saturday Football Inc, an independent digital sports media brand focusing on college sports in the US.

The company founded by Duffey, was acquired by XLMedia in 2021. Later, Duffey was responsible for leading reader growth and commercial partnerships throughout the college sports sector.

The news of Duffey’s appointment comes on the same day that the company released expected FY22 revenues of $73.7 million.  This compares to $66.5 million generated by the group in the prior-year period. Adjusted EBITDA margins, meanwhile, ranged from $16.1 million to $16.6 million, and the sports business posted the largest annual gains at 72%. The increase was attributed to the legalization of online sports betting in New York and Maryland in January and November 2022, respectively.
