711 B.V. Strengthens Betting Integrity in the Netherlands

711 B.V. has officially joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) following the recent introduction of its sportsbook in the Netherlands.

711 B.V. Joins IBIA Following Sportsbook Launch

After two years of focusing exclusively on its casino offerings since the legalization of the Dutch market, the operator has now expanded its portfolio to include a sportsbook, aligning with Dutch regulatory requirements.

In the Netherlands, all licensed sportsbooks must engage with a recognized sports betting integrity monitoring body.

Expanding the Integrity Network

By joining IBIA, 711 B.V. becomes part of an extensive network that includes over 50 companies and 125 sports betting brands worldwide.

This move further solidifies IBIA’s role as the leading sports betting integrity monitor in the Netherlands, where it currently represents approximately 90% of licensed sportsbooks.

Commitment to Sportsbook Integrity

Gilles De Backer, COO of 711 B.V., expressed satisfaction with the launch, stating, “711 has been live in the Netherlands since April 2022 and has a strong casino product which is now being completed with a sportsbook from Kambi. We’re very pleased to finally welcome the sportsbook alongside our casino product on 711.nl and to safeguard our sportsbook’s integrity by integrating it within IBIA’s global monitoring system.”

IBIA’s Role in Protecting Sports Betting Markets

Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, highlighted the significance of 711 B.V.’s decision to join the association, noting, “IBIA is thrilled that 711 has chosen IBIA as its integrity monitoring partner for its sportsbook in the Netherlands. The decision to join IBIA demonstrates the company’s desire to utilize the best integrity protection available for its sports betting product and further expands IBIA’s monitoring network in the Netherlands.”

IBIA operates as a not-for-profit organization, run by operators to protect regulated sports betting markets from corruption and match-fixing.

The association’s global monitoring network is designed to detect and report suspicious activities, serving as an essential tool in the fight against corruption in the betting industry.

Monitoring and Reporting Suspicious Activities

IBIA’s global network enables tracking of transactional activities linked to individual customer accounts, providing extensive coverage across regulated markets.

With its members accounting for over $300 billion in annual betting turnover, IBIA represents about 50% of the global regulated sports betting sector.

The association’s monitoring efforts have led to numerous investigations and successful sanctions against corrupt entities, demonstrating its effectiveness as a watchdog in the industry.

In the second quarter of 2023 alone, IBIA reported 90 suspicious betting alerts, contributing to the successful sanctioning of 21 clubs, players, and officials.

This ongoing vigilance ensures that the integrity of sports betting markets is maintained, protecting both operators and consumers from fraudulent activities.
