The change in leadership comes as part of the company’s ongoing restructuring.

CFO Transition

Sean Wilkins, previously the CFO at Superbet, an omni-channel betting and gaming business with operations across several European countries, will take over as CFO for 888 Holdings. His appointment is scheduled for February.

In the interim period, Vaughan Lewis, the company’s Chief Strategy Officer, will assume the role of finance chief starting in October until Sean Wilkins officially joins as CFO.

Recent Leadership Changes

In July, 888 Holdings appointed Per Widerström as its new CEO, a move that followed a shareholder’s call from FS Gaming to appoint its candidates to top roles within the company. These leadership changes are part of 888 Holdings’ efforts to revamp its leadership structure and strategy.

The announcement of the new CFO comes as 888 Holdings anticipates a decline in annual revenue, with expectations falling at the higher end of its previously forecasted low-to-mid-single-digit range. The slow recovery in the Middle East is cited as a contributing factor to this outlook.

The appointment of Sean Wilkins as CFO is part of 888 Holdings’ ongoing efforts to restructure its leadership team. With a new CEO and CFO in place, the company aims to navigate the challenges and opportunities in the betting and gaming industry effectively.
