Liga Portugal scores Betclic as title sponsor

Betclic, one of the European leaders in online gambling and sports betting, has been announced as Liga Portugal’s official title sponsor, in a deal brokered by IMG.

Terms of agreement

Starting this season through 2027, the multi-year deal will see Portugal’s top-flight football league be named ‘Liga Portugal Betclic.’ Alongside naming and branding rights, the partnership includes IP, digital communications, marketing and content generation opportunities.

Through the partnership, Betclic and Liga Portugal will collaborate on various CSR projects through the Liga Foundation and will focus on promoting safe sports betting in Portugal.

“It is a privilege for Liga Portugal to associate with a market-leading brand such as Betclic. This partnership unequivocally demonstrates the high level of professional football in Portugal,” said Pedro Proença, President of Liga Portugal.

“Brands like Betclic share our vision and, above all, our ambition for the growth of Portuguese professional football,” Proença added. “We are proud that our top league will be called ‘Liga Portugal Betclic’ this season.”
