Malta Gaming Authority Warns of Unauthorized Websites

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has issued a warning to consumers about unauthorized websites falsely claiming affiliation with the regulator.

List of Unauthorized Websites

The MGA recently released a list of websites, including www.rayvietnam.net, www.rbvn08.com, www.raybet03.com, www.ray097.com, and www.ray40.com, that falsely claim to hold licenses issued by the authority.

The MGA made it clear that these platforms are not affiliated with the organization and any claims suggesting otherwise are “false and misleading.”

Importance of Verifying Licenses

In the official statement, the MGA stressed the importance of verifying the legitimacy of online gaming platforms before engaging in any transactions.

They stated, “The gaming regulatory framework obliges authorized persons to comply with strict legal requirements in the interest of consumers.”

The regulator warned that unlicensed platforms operate outside these protections, exposing users to potential risks.

Ensuring Safety and Compliance

The MGA advises customers to use only platforms that are formally licensed by the authority. A full list of approved operators is available on the MGA’s website to help users verify legitimate gaming companies.

This approach is designed to protect financial transactions and prevent fraudulent activities in the gaming sector.

New ESG Initiative

In related developments, the MGA has launched its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) center to support gaming companies in adhering to best practices.

The ESG hub provides detailed guidance for licensees on ESG reporting, promoting responsible and sustainable gaming practices that align with evolving stakeholder expectations.
